About
The Flood started with a song Hundred Round Kado and Lazy Coca made for Get On High Street in 2025. After SamBuckedUp posted the song and its video, the clip reached Wyclef Jean, who contacted Kado and asked for a full project. The duo answered with a single day at Rise Studios in Boston, where they recorded all of OCD (Quarter Brick) with Jean as executive producer. He now manages the Massachusetts duo.
The album arrived Dec. 4, 2025, as an OpenWav exclusive, then reached streaming services on Dec. 12. It fits nine songs into about 20 minutes, which suits the title, since a quarter brick, by street count, is nine ounces. The song titles carry that idea further, mixing the language of the body, the drug trade and faith on records like “Famous Veins,” “Powder Matrix,” “Kokaine Tears (Scarface Didn't Die)” and the closer, “God Made Drugs.”
That mix sits at the center of what Kado and Coca call Kokaine Gospel. As they explain it, the music retells Bible stories in present-day terms and looks back on their years as sinners, with God standing in as the plug. Within that frame, the drug references become testimony about lives they say they have left behind, so the faith and the street talk end up sharing the same verses.
Dallas Rose produced OCD with WYDTAJ and recorded, mixed and mastered it himself. He returned to engineer the 2026 follow-up, BPD (Borderline Powder Disorder), and the duo's production circle has since grown to include Jamar Johnson. According to the duo, Jean keeps the bar high by pushing them to record seven or more verses for every song. They followed in May 2026 with a video for the Johnson-produced “Synthetik Silence” and pressed both albums on vinyl through ElasticStage.
